Portal

The Portal is the area outside of a board where users authenticate, manage their profile, and select or create boards.

Authentication​

Comper supports multiple authentication methods:

Password-based Authentication​

When enabled, users can:

  • Sign in / Sign out
  • Register (only when registration is enabled)
  • Verify email / resend verification
  • Reset password

Single Sign-On (SSO)​

Optional SSO support includes:

  • OAuth2 providers:
    • Google
    • GitHub
    • Microsoft
  • SAML (when configured)

Profile Management​

Users can:

  • View profile information (name/email)
  • See account verification state (verified/unverified)
  • Change password (only when password auth is enabled and user has a password)

Board Selector & Onboarding​

The board selector allows you to:

  • List boards you have access to ("Your Boards")
  • List other publicly visible boards, and auto-join boards that are configured as joinable
  • Create a new board (private by default)
  • Browser graphics capability check (WebGL1/WebGL2/WebGPU) for board rendering readiness

User Feedback & Observability​

  • Sentry integration (when configured), including a built-in feedback/bug report widget
